(Amsterdam, SoloAzar Exclusive).- The 2023 edition of iGB L!VE sent all previous records tumbling with more visitors and more exhibitors occupying more stand space than ever before. Naomi Barton, Portfolio Director responsible for the iGB L!VE brand is preparing to do it all again as her team focusses on July 2024

Record breaking iGB L!VE

This edition of iGB L!VE was a record-breaking success in terms of attendance and participants. What is your general assessment of the tradeshow?

I think it’s very clear that the Industry voted with its feet. The attendance at iGB L!VE ‘23  was 44% up year-on-year with visitors from throughout the world meeting in Amsterdam in order to do business and meet with over 207 igaming suppliers and affiliate programmes.  So far the feedback has been incredibly positive reinforcing the brand’s status as a must-attend event following on from February’s editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate.  Large sections of the industry now see iGB L!VE as a crucial mid-year touchpoint for the igaming universe.

How do you evaluate features such as the Consumer Protection Zone which you launched this year?

Our strategy is to always look at the introduction of new features and experiences that are relevant to our stakeholders. The Consumer Protection Zone (CPZ) was an ideal fit due to the digital nature of iGB L!VE and the topicality of responsible gambling particularly in the Netherlands. The CPZ provided a home and a focal point for eight organisations comprising a mix of technology providers and not for profit providers. It succeeded in giving visitors the tools to ensure they are compliant in relation to issues such as affordability requirements and stake limits, ensure they are not at risk of being fined, learn how restrictions on marketing and advertising will impact business and to network with other progressive operators and affiliates. It was a great addition to the iGB L!VE experience and will be another important touchpoint as we move forward with the brand.

What kind of changes are in the pipeline for 2024?

Due to sustained customer demand and industry growth we have made the strategic decision to expand into three prominent halls at the RAI Amsterdam. The opportunity to scale into much larger and more prominent positions has been welcomed enthusiastically by exhibitors with some 80% of the space already booked a full year ahead of the show opening. It’s a remarkable response and one which demonstrates the reputation and status enjoyed by the iGB L!VE brand. In tandem with the physical growth of the show we will also continue to focus on continued growth in visitor numbers supporting core and emerging market growth by ensuring that we deliver partners, education and content from the most important global geo territories. LatAM is a priority market for our customers as is continued expansion in Europe.

What’s next for you and your team?

Now that the dust has settled as a team our job is to review what went well, examine the areas in which we know we can improve, make the necessary adjustments and focus on iGB L!VE 2024. We will draw on the feedback we receive from customers and aim to include the feedback in our strategy moving forward.  We have huge plans for this event and are delighted that in a few short years it has become a critical ‘must attend’ event in the annual igaming calendar – so watch this space!

Could you give us a preview of the date for 2024?

The next edition of iGB L!VE takes place 16 – 19 July 2024 at the RAI Amsterdam
